Are you an emerging, local South East Queensland act looking to share your music onstage with an engaged crowd, within a blossoming creative community? Then, read on friend, because Brisbane’s favourite local showcase, The BLOOM Series, is taking artist applications for their 2019 shows.
Known for delivering line-ups punters stay the bill for, The BLOOM Series, which is presented by local songstress Tiarne and sponsored by Music Is My Muse, brings together local musicians and lovers of live music in a celebratory and supportive atmosphere at The Milk Factory each season.
Not restricted by genre, BLOOM blends artists from different styles with complementary sounds to curate an ambient vibe every time. With four shows under their wings, previous artists to grace the BLOOM stage include electronic pop duo My DWA, melancholic folk, R’n’B, pop, and hip-hop blender Opaeka, the delightful Peppermint Ollie, Clawmachine, The Lighthearts and many more!
Usually curating the line-up from an ever-expanding list of acts she loves, BLOOM Series Founder Tiarne is switching things up this year, instead choosing to open up applications to the local music population to unearth even more talent than she could amass scouring the internet.
“We’re thrilled to open applications for this year’s BLOOM Series showcases. We want to hear from vibrant emerging artists who’re passionate about their art and enjoy supporting their peers,” said Tiarne.
As an independent musician herself, Tiarne knows how hard learning the ropes of the music industry can be, and hopes BLOOM 2019 will give even more local acts the chance to promote their music.
“I’m excited to see where The BLOOM Series will go this year. We have some special things in the works but we are so excited to showcase new artists, continue building a supportive community for emerging musos and enjoy some quality live music!”
Local South East Queensland artists of all genres are encouraged to apply to showcase at The BLOOM Series 2019. Instructions and application form available HERE.
