Chris Pickering and his band ‘The Experiment’ come up to play in Brisbane for one night only, and joining him are friends Silent Feature Era and Richard Johnston in solo mode. Expect some extended forms, guitar solos, melancholia, cosmic melodies, and maybe some gardening tips from these Warwick locals.

Shukura Chapman’s ‘Rearview’ EP Launch @ The Milk Factory
Shukura Chapman is a raw artist with a powerhouse voice and soulful lyrics. Shukura’s live shows involve intoxicating vocals with live-looped smooth guitar parts and off-beat percussion. She’s releasing her new EP Rearview – a record all about self-growth. She’ll be joined by fellow Brisbane darlings Georgia Rose and Luatè.
Sera’s ‘Silhouette’ Single Launch @ Black Bear Lodge
This is Sera, a formidable new band from Brisbane on the verge of releasing their third single, Silhouette. Frontwoman, Eloise Mitchell says “in essence, Silhouette is about people watching and learning to appreciate each life taking place.” She adds that there is an underlying theme about the need to feel valued when there are thousands around you.
